I understand your point there. But I still don't think there will ever even be such Other Half. It would require a whole console inside the Other Half. And I was talking about PS1/PSX games, if you misunderstood it.

But it's just a concept though. It might well be possible to switch the controls to the frontside and use the original screen - making the phone a little larger at the same time. Backside could be used for an extra battery or whatever. Additions to the size might be a price that one has to pay for added gaming functionality, or just go with the concept as it is and pay extra €'s. I like the concept as it is, but again, compromises vs. costs.
Jolly and I know it.

While designing a concept, no other things are important than presenting your idea of what exactly do u want. All the techy things comes next. The playstation otherhalf is a concept to bring actual psp games to Jolla but when we think of actually porting something like that. There are many things to be considered, for e.g. Display size, the controls, Most importantly Pocket friendly. So once the idea clicks. the later can be studied well. Hope u get my point here. :D :D ;)

Yes I totally get it. I would personally love to see something like Gamegripper. I wouldn't care if it would be bulky, because I don't think nobody would use it always. When you're on a trip somewhere it would be very handy.

EXACTLY..  Games are always a time killer when traveling.  And for a gamer, what could be more bread and butter if he gets a psp otherhalf or a NES SNES port.

Native ports of a few open source games, like wesnoth. And a port of emumaster and, if possible (I doubt it), a ps2 emulator.

A controller other half would be very nice. The device is quite wide, so it should be possible to fit all controls on there.

If we create an other half with a rotating hinge, a control set like this one may be possible:

With regards to controllers. Isn't it easier to get a PS3 (bluetooth) controller to work with it (HID)? Wouldn't it be more practical and quicker to implement that then to create yet OH.

ScummVM would be great, yeah :)

And emulators for sure; C64, Amiga, NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and PS1.

What Games I like to see are B.o.W. (Battle for Wesnoth) and freeCiv and something cool will be FlareRPG

http://wesnoth.org
http://de.freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Freeciv_Wiki
http://flarerpg.org

Thatīs all OpenSoure Games for Linux, I think it is possible to bring it to Jollas SailfishOS.

I play 2 games very intensive. Real Racing 3 and Ingress.
I read somewhere in this forum that Nyantic bans you when they recognize the Jolla. :(
Any solution or idea if it is possible somehow. I am getting my Jolla next Monday

Oh yeah! We really need a Game Controller - Other Half. Touchscreens really suck for gaming concerns.

What do you mean with a "playstation" other half?

Yeah! A PlayStation controller other half! Although... It'd be pointless if we get support for the Xperia PLAY, that has one in built.
