Issues running on Nexus 5
« on: December 13, 2014, 06:30:48 PM »
Hello All,

Just installed Sailfish 1.0.8.19 on my Nexus 5 under Android MultiRom Manager.  I have the following issues which I'd be very glad if someone could help me resolve:

First of all, the display won't rotate - it stays in portrait all the time, no matter the orientation of the phone.  I do have orientation set to Dynamic, but it just doesn't happen.

Secondly, whenever I try to download an app from the store, it says 'Downloading' for a long time, then I get a notification saying 'Problem with store - could not install <whatever>.  Just once in a while, a download will succeed but when I try to start the app, it just falls over without producing any display.  I do have a Jolla account which is marked as Active in the Settings.

Thirdly, whenever I reboot the phone, I have to enter my WiFi key again - it doesn't seem to remember it.

Any help would be most welcome.

Regards,

Mark

Most working fixes for the n5 builds are found in this thread, or at least they were when I tried it out before getting a jolla phone.

Many thanks for that.  The tip in that thread to make sure the primary ROM was Lollipop-based was very useful -0 it made a real difference.  There's still quyite a bit that doesn't work, so I've taken the plunge and ordered myself a Jolla phone which should arrive on Thursday.  Thanks again for your help.
